A cryptocurrency (or “crypto”) is a digital currency that can be used to buy goods and services, but uses an online ledger with strong cryptography to secure online transactions. Much of the interest in these unregulated currencies is to trade for profit, with speculators at times driving prices skyward.
Crypto is money that is entirely speculative... at least at this point-in-time but in the next few years it will no longer be speculative but the only way to buy, sell, trade, and invest money. There will be no more check books, no more credit cards, just individual online account in which one's money is digitally stored.
Governments will be able to use crypto to spend however much money that they want to as long as that particular country is financially stable and economically successful.
Citizens will use crypto to buy homes or rent apartments, buy food or gasoline or clothes or pay their bills... Online Crypto will be BACKED by one's financial wealth... but eventually that actual paper dollar financial wealth will be transformed into digital wealth and will disappear.
All one will need to do is remember their account number, username, and password to access their online digital accounts.
This is the future...
AND... I wonder how illegal drug dealers are going to sell their products...
Or... Prostitutes...
But... I have no doubts that someone will develop a methodology so that criminals can continue to financially flourish by breaking the laws.
