Sunday Secrecy

It is no secret...  to me, or to others with like minds, that Sundays possess no secrets unless it is with one's faith, religious beliefs, or philosophical inclinations... as all three of those are inextricably intertwined...  however, some, especially those who are atheists, would see absolutely no connection(s) at all, and in a way, this close mindedness is sad...  that is to say, that so much of what is going on in the world today can be explained through those three connected variables.

And, just as important is that fact that atheists who claim no belief at all are a little better than morons because to have no beliefs is in fact a faith in and of itself.

Others, who may not believe in a Creator, do believe in their own beginning and in their own end which according to lack of belief means that death is so final that nothing else could possibly happen to you...  this notion is about as stupid as the belief that there is not other life forms or species in the universe...  of which is currently billions upon billions upon billions upon billions of light years wide and the fact that our universe is still expanding simply means that those probabilities will increase.

Moronic behavior and stupidity go hand in hand when it comes to some of the beliefs of our so called atheists...  and besides, the mathematical probability that a creator exists is greater than the probability that a creator does not exist.

Mathematics rules our world as well as our universe.  And, we have not even considered multiple dimensions and a multiverse because of the unproven theory of strings.  

So answer me this genius, who decided on MY BIRTH...  to MY PARENTS...  in MY LOCATION...  and, with my SKIN COLOR???

Was that coincidence?

Or, evolution?

And, if it is coincidence, what is the probability that someone was not involved in manipulating that probability?

Monday -- Dead Sea Scrolls

The Dead Sea Scrolls (also the Qumran Caves Scrolls) are ancient Jewish religious manuscripts that were found in the Qumran Caves in the Judaean Desert, near Ein Feshkha on the northern shore of the Dead Sea in the West Bank. Scholarly consensus dates these scrolls from the last three centuries BCE and the first century CE. The texts have great historical, religious, and linguistic significance because they include the second-oldest known surviving manuscripts of works later included in the Hebrew Bible canon, along with deuterocanonical and extra-biblical manuscripts which preserve evidence of the diversity of religious thought in late Second Temple Judaism. Almost all of the Dead Sea Scrolls are held by the state of Israel in the Shrine of the Book on the grounds of the Israel Museum, but ownership of the scrolls is disputed by Jordan and Palestine.

Many thousands of written fragments have been discovered in the Dead Sea area. They represent the remnants of larger manuscripts damaged by natural causes or through human interference, with the vast majority holding only small scraps of text. However, a small number of well-preserved, almost intact manuscripts have survived – fewer than a dozen among those from the Qumran Caves. Researchers have assembled a collection of 981 different manuscripts – discovered in 1946/47 and in 1956 – from 11 caves. The 11 Qumran Caves lie in the immediate vicinity of the Hellenistic-period Jewish settlement at Khirbet Qumran in the eastern Judaean Desert, in the West Bank. The caves are located about one mile (1.6 kilometres) west of the northwest shore of the Dead Sea, whence they derive their name. Scholarly consensus dates the Qumran Caves Scrolls from the last three centuries BCE and the first century CE. Bronze coins found at the same sites form a series beginning with John Hyrcanus (in office 135–104 BCE) and continuing until the period of the First Jewish–Roman War (66–73 CE), supporting the radiocarbon and paleographic dating of the scrolls.

In the larger sense, the Dead Sea Scrolls include manuscripts from additional Judaean Desert sites, dated as early as the 8th century BCE and as late as the 11th century CE.  SOURCE:  Wikipedia

God and Guns

This may seem like an oxymoron of sorts in that they are diametrically opposed concepts but these two words are perfect examples of the FIRST and SECOND Amendments to the US Constitution.....

• Freedom of Speech
• The Right to Bear Arms

HOWEVER,
these two concepts were somewhat united (this does not pertain the the Bill of Rights or the US Constitution) during the Crusades...

WHEREAS, in the US of A, the First and Second Amendments are connected in that they are part of the Bill of Rights for the American People, regardless of your color, ethnicity, or one's religious or political beliefs.

• We have a RIGHT to speak out
• We have a RIGHT to believe as we want to
• We have a RIGHT to bear arms

NO OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD HAS BOTH THESE RIGHTS

God and Country is what Americans believe, maybe not in that order but they believe in both...  and, when I say GOD, I am referring to A BELIEF OF FAITH, regardless of what that faith might be because even those who say they do not believe, actually believe in the fact that they don't believe and that, anyway you slice it is faith.

Faith is that which is hoped for...  so, those who do not believe in God actually have a belief in which they believe and they HOPE that their belief is correct....
