REMEMBER...  if you are wrong, the American people will pay the price....

If you doubt that CHINA wants to dominate the world, then you are intellectually foolish...  not to mention rather politically ignorant...  and, do not pay attention to the global news or care about what happens to your future or the future of your children...

Yesterday

My wife and I spent all day yesterday, either driving to and from or spending time 3 hours away from our location at a funeral or family reunion.  I was not related to any of these people but my wife is the sister of the ex-husband of the lady who died who had before the divorce raised two children.  It was odd to me because I have no idea what my ex-wife of over 25 years is doing nor do I care what she is doing and if she were to die, I would feel bad from the standpoint of feeling bad anytime someone dies, but no more; however my wife's brother was actually closer to his ex-wife after the divorce than he was during their marriage.  She was in her late seventies and died from COVID complications and this happened to her because she had refused to take to COVID vaccination.

But, more important than the funeral service was the reunion in which I participated.  These people, some of whom I have no seen for over 4 years an some of whom I have never met until yesterday.  None of these people had a college education but they were more friendly and polite than many of the college graduates that I knew or worked with.  And, they were actively engaged in making something of themselves rather than wanting to sit around the house and collect unemployment.

However, what impressed me the most was not their willingness to build their careers but that none of them GAVE A SHIT about POLITICS, BIDEN, IMMIGRATON, and the movement towards SOCIALISM, Black Lives Matter, the WOKE MOB, or Cancel Culture.  All they wanted to do was live their lives and pursue whatever it was that they wanted to pursue...  and, enjoy life in the process.  Politics was not going to change their lives nor influence the way they lived their lives.

IT WAS REFRESHING...

Today, I am back home and once again listening to all the DEMOCRATIC BULLSHIT on FOX News...

Another View

I am not a fan of the Democrats nor am I a fan of the Progressive Democrats either but I do understand what it is that they are trying to do and I understand that and can support their views in part but I am not in favor of all the money that they are spending, expecting the wealthy and corporations to pay for it all...  because what if the wealthy and our corporations find ways to shelter their money so that an increase in taxes is NEVER POSSIBLE???

EVERYONE IS SIMPLY ASSUMING that the wealthy and corporations will pay for it because they have the ability to pay for it...  and that is an intellectually stupid concept...  at least in my opinion.

If I were wealthy, I would find a way to hide my money from taxes...  and, I say this because during my career, I had a consulting company that I had incorporated and used to shelter my money away from taxes and while it was not millions of dollars or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, my TAX BURDEN was HALF of what it would have been without my company...  and this includes CPA fees...

I am not that smart...  so if I can figure it out, one has to assume that the wealthy will or have already figured it out as well.

REPUBLICANS get this but DEMOCRATS do not...  and, I do not want to support a group of people that are that financially stupid...

I am all in favor of:

• helping the poor
• receiving immigrants
• defunding the police
• taking down confederate statues
• giving blacks the advantage
• having electric automobiles
• using solar energy
• making blacks feel welcome in America
• tax the wealthy more
• tax corporations more
• improving our quality of life
• having better roads and bridges
• legalizing marijuana
• having no interstate speed limits

I am not that smart, but if I had $5 million dollars, I would be earning just off of interest alone, about $20,000 each month...  and, if I had to pay MORE IN TAXES in I EARNED MORE MONEY...  than I would simply RETIRE and live off my interest even if I had to downsize and relocate.

WHY WOULD I DO THIS?

Wealthy People Typically Don't Like TAXES...  and, they especially don't like an increase in taxes...  and those wealthy people who say they don't mind an increase in taxes, have their money sheltered away so that they are NEVER going to pay increases in TAXES...  these people are not financially stupid and if they were...  they hire CPA's and TAX LAWYERS to be financially smart for them...

WHY THE DEMOCRATS CANNOT SEE THIS...  simply boggles my mind...  they cannot all be as clever as AOC...

SO...  FROM WHENCE WILL THE MONEY COME?

Here's a great idea...  let's borrow the money from CHINA...  especially since they already own 1/3 of our National Debt...

Borrowing money does not bother me at all.

Borrowing tons of money does not bother me at all.

WHY?

I will not be paying it back...  that's why...  future generations will...

How is that going to possibly hurt me!?

Aged Indifference

I am 73 years old, retired, survived a 3 bypass artery heart attack, continuing to survive the attack of two cancers in my body and I don't give a damn anymore about politics and thinking that politics does what is right for the American People.  Nothing is farther from the truth...

Both Republicans and Democrats only care about getting re-elected and now the Democrats only care about making sure that they control politics for the next several DECADES...

We have the same problems today that we had during the 1960's...

for example:

• Racism
• White Privilege
• Education
• Poverty
• Wealth gap
• Overseas wars
• Global hated of America
• Immigration

Being OLD and RETIRED whatever happens in politics does not really impact me or my wife anymore...  but, it does impact all those who are still working and those who are in high school or in college.  It will be these people who will be impacted by the unintended consequences of what is taking place in 2021.

• My wife and I have Social Security
• My wife and I have Medicare
• My wife and I have saved money
• My wife and I have no debt

What have you got???

Average ANNUAL salary of CEO's    $410,000 to $1,2000,000

Average ANNUAL salary of workers   $31,133

SO...

do you think that our Government is really trying to regulate these kinds of differences in pay scales between management and labor?  Congress wants to increase the minimum wage to $15/hour but will that really do anything to reduce the WAGE GAP.?

SOCIALISM will not FIX THIS PROBLEM EITHER...  unless, our Federal Government decides to take ownership of all our corporations and businesses.  The ultimate idea of socialism is to OWN BUSINESSES and INDUSTRIES but I doubt that this will ever happen in the United States...  but, we will get very close to that endgame.  AND, the way we are going to do that is to give MORE and MORE and MORE to the American People and tax the wealthy and corporations to pay for it...  whether they want to pay for it or not...

Only time will tell us if that is a good more or not...

MEANWHILE...  

CEO will continue to increase their salaries while keeping the worker relatively suppressed. 

AGAIN,

my wife and I will never be bothered by these developments...  because of our age and our retired status.  my wife and I have AGED INDIFFERENCE...

My America Has Changed

At the outset, let me say that to refer to this country as MY AMERICA is pretty damn ARROGANT, especially since I am not nor have I ever been in a position the INFLUENCE the direction of MY AMERICA...

I am 73 year old married twice Veteran who has barely managed to survive a 45 year career where I voluntarily agreed to work for INTELLECTUAL IDIOTS whose sole purpose was to demonstrate to others their CONSISTENT INCOMPETENCE when it came to making decisions that their positions indicated that they had to make.

These WELL EDUCATED CLOWNS could not pour piss out of a cowboy boot with directions written on the heel as my Dad used to say about those with whom he had to work...  and like other scientific observers might have stated previously, the apple does not fall far from the tree.

AMERICA suffers from GREED.

AND, quite interestingly, our ECONOMIC GROWTH is contingent upon GREED.

When I was entering the workplace for the first time in the 1950's, the motto was "an honest day's pay for an honest day's work."   Since that time, this phrase has either been forgotten, overlooked, or completely ignored...  because we no longer believe in an honest day's work for an honest day's pay....  NO...  we now believe in the concept of HOW MUCH MONEY CAN I GET FOR DOING THE LEAST AMOUNT OF WORK...

This attitude had always been reserved for those employees who had already worked 30-40 years and who had through the grace of God been promoted through the ranks, finding themselves in positions of power and control...  as they leveled out their working career and began preparing themselves for retirement...

THOSE DAYS ARE LONG GONE...

Students in high school and college DO NOT WANT TO LEARN, they just want to know what they need to MEMORIZE in order to get the "A".  I have had the pleasure of teaching some of the intellectuals in my College Classes and they wrote on a 10th grade level, read on an 8th grade level and had no desire to problem solve or drill down on any subject for an answer unless it was how to get out of doing something or how to steal online music or hack someone's computer.

THESE ARE THE KINDS OF PEOPLE WITH WHOM YOU NEVER WANT TO SHARE A FOXHOLE...

Politics is worse than it has ever been in the sense of failing to compromise or reaching a solution that benefits ALL AMERICANS not just a selected few million.  We have also now turned the corner on the concept that if your party did not win the election, then you and your party must do everything in your power to UNDERMINE AND DESTROY THOSE WHO WON THE ELECTION...

My America has changed...

I AM A TRUMP FAN

This may put me into a bit of a corner but it is what it is...  however, I did not vote for Donald Trump, nor did I vote for Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, etc., because I don't vote in elections anymore...

WHY?

I don't vote because it does not matter if I vote and not because of one political party winning or the other political party winning but because NOTHING EVER CHANGES in these United States except prices always seem to be increasing while wages and salaries always seem to be remaining constant more or less outside of a meager cost-of-living increase...

I was very much interested in POLITICS in the 1960's but over the years, I witnessed a serious thing happening in this country which was MAINTAINING THE STATUE QUO.

1. We still have racial problems
2. We still have education problems
3. We still have wealth/poor problems
4. We still have housing problems
5. We still have healthcare cost problems
6. We still have crooked politicians problems
7. We still have greedy CEO problems
8. We still have Americans not saving for retirement
9. We still have Americans in debt problems
10. We still have American Obesity problems
11. We still have gender inequality issues
12. We still have sexual harassment issues

IF THOSE WHO CONTROL AMERICA WANT TO END SOMETHING...  IT ENDS WITHOUT HESITATION...  BUT, IF THOSE SAME IN CONTROL PEOPLE WANT SOMETHING TO CONTINUE...  IT CONTINUES...

Therein lies our problem and the reason why I don't vote!!!

Are You A Boiling Frog?

Concept:  The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in tepid water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death.

It is this author's belief that this is how both our POLITICAL PARTIES are treating the American Voters...

Each election cycle whether it be 2 or 4 years, we basically vote the same politicians back into office as if we perceive or actually believe that they are doing the job that we want them to do...  even when, we know for a fact that they have not done that which we wanted them to do.

WHY?

Is it easier just to keep putting them back into office?
Perhaps...
But, isn't this political apathy?
We don't want to be bothered by trying to figure out who is telling the truth or who is not and more importantly who has the mental capacity, strength, and determination to influence other politicians to move this country in a direction that benefits ALL ITS CITIZENS and not just the wealthy or the well off...

WORDS OF THE PROPHETS

The words by which we live our lives basically comes from two different but distinct groups of people: Republicans and Democrats.

“The main difference between the two parties is, indeed, their political orientation. The Democratic Party is left-leaning, liberal and usually associated with progressiveness and equality. The Republican Party, instead, is right-leaning, traditional and associated with equity and economic freedom and with the ideal of ‘survival of the fittest’.” 

Some of us believe that the Democrats support the following:

Large government

Adequate military

No homeland security

Social welfare

Abortion & Late Term Abortion

Strict regulation of second amendment

Same sex marriage

Open borders

Free healthcare

High taxes on wealthy

Free education

Increasing national debt

High wages

Universal legalization of marijuana

Consequently, some of believe that the Republicans support exactly the opposite.  Now, it is not this simply, but it is close except for the area of defense and military, the Republicans want it to be super big and strong…  just in case.

Recently, we have seen that a majority of the media outlets (now referred to as mainstream media) favor the Democratic points-of-view and in so doing, negatively report the news that looks bad for the Republicans while soft pedaling the news that looks bad for the Democrats.  And, even though we have “freedom of the press” in this country through the first amendment, biased reporting is not responsible journalism…  journalism should be fair, balanced, and unbiased regardless of one’s personal feelings.

These same standards should apply to our law enforcement agencies but we have discovered that our own FBI and quite possibly our DOJ were politically biased during the 2016 Presidential Election.  We have no idea of the ramifications that are yet to result from this realization that may impact the future of both these fine institutions that have served us so well in the past.

And so, the words of our prophets have again come into question.

And, once again, our prophets are on separate shores of our political present and ultimately our political future and in so doing have divided our great country into two bitter camps of attitudes and opinions.

And, once again, the words of our prophets have put us into a position where opposing anger could ignite another civil war in this country.  But, this civil war will not be fought with firearms but with words that will make the HATE of our first civil war look timid and foolish.

The words of our prophets will hurt and burn for decades with neither side giving any forgiveness to the other side, no matter how many Christian Churches both sides represent.

The words of our prophets will cause a lack of respect and trust worse than the racists attitudes of the 1960’s that has never quite disappeared even though the well-to-do’s of both sides claim have improved.

The words of our prophets are as hollow as hollow point bullets used by criminals and hunters in a futile attempt to level the playing field.

Who am I to make this kind of a claim and indictment of our society?

                       I am a nobody…

                       I was born in 1947 and have seen 7 decades of political missteps and stupid approaches by both parties…   and, what has been impressed upon me the most is that NOTHING CHANGES…

                       I am not a political expert.

                       I am not a historian.

                       I have never lived a very influential life although I have been a teacher of sorts.

                       I am a Vietnam Veteran and a very proud American who loves his country.

                 I am a senior citizen who now believes our two parties have gone too far with their political rhetoric and the general public is copying their attitudes by showing extreme hatred to the other side, that is to say, those that represent the other party.

It is also sad to say that these sentiments are now being absorbed by comedians who have only showed or demonstrated HATRED for the Republican Party while giving the Democratic Party a PASS.

What kind of equality or fair play is this?

Whose fault is this?

It is the fault of our prophets and their followers…

 And that my friends is you and I.
