Civil Liberties For ALL or NONE

Civil liberties are guarantees and freedoms that liberal governments commit not to abridge, either by legislation or judicial interpretation, and without due process of the laws governing these civil liberties.

Civil liberties may include the:

1. freedom of conscience, 
2. freedom of press, 
3. freedom of religion, 
4. freedom of expression, 
5. freedom of assembly, 
6. right to security
7. liberty, freedom of speech, 
8. right to privacy, 
9. right to equal treatment under the law 
10. due process of the law,
11.  the right to a fair trial, and 
12. right to life. 

Other civil liberties include the 

• right to own property, 
• right to defend oneself, and 
• right to bodily integrity.

Because of what is happening in this country perpetrated by those who DO NOT LIKE President Trump, many of my civil liberties are being IGNORED...

As a conservative, I have the civil liberties of:

• expression
• speech
• conscience
• security
• assembly

However, in some of the cities that are controlled by DEMOCRATS, these freedoms are being DENIED...

Especially so, when it comes to my security and the security of those with similar thoughts...  we are not being protected from violence being perpetrated against us whenever we assemble peacefully.  In fact, there are movements underway to defund the police which would further exacerbate the violation of my civil liberties...  those of security, assembly, and expression...

Have we turned into a country where the only civil liberties that are being protected as those that are being expressed by Liberals and those persons who are promoting BLACK LIVES MATTER...

This country CANNOT protect the CIVIL LIBERTIES of BLM while ignoring the CIVIL LIBERTIES of those who are not involved in or with the movement.

ALL CIVIL LIBERTIES MUST BE PROTECTED OR THERE WILL BE A CIVIL LIBERTIES WAR BETWEEN THOSE SEGMENTS OF THE POPULATION WHO STAND ON EITHER SIDE OF THE CIVIL LIBERTIES ISSUES...

We're Going Back To Work...

...well...  at least some of us are going back to work.  I've been retired for 5 years and the only work that I have done outside of yard work is teaching classes for a local University in Digital Skills and Personal Financial Planning.  And, to tell you the truth (of course that is not to say that I have been lying up to this point...   its just a stupid ass saying), the stuff that I am going over in class is stuff that I know that the back of my hand so there is no prep work at all for these classes other than coming up with some in class projects to keep the students entertained. 


SO, unless we are allowed to go back to work, according to some of these out-of-work Americans, the Federal Government is VIOLATING our CIVIL RIGHTS...

What is the difference between CIVIL RIGHTS and CIVIL LIBERTIES?

Civil rights are different from civil liberties. Traditionally, the concept of civil rights has revolved around the basic right to be free from unequal treatment based on certain protected characteristics (race, gender, disability, etc.), while civil liberties are more broad-based rights and freedoms that are guaranteed at the federal level by the Constitution and other federal law such as fundamental rights including the right to vote, free speech, or the right to privacy.
