COMPANY OWNERSHIP: Public or Private

CAPITALISM is an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state, in which we must assume is a non-profit entity, spending as much as it takes in.

So, right now the Ford Motor Company is owned by a family who has sold shares in the company to generate money rather than borrow that money from the BANK.  In turn, the company pays its stockholders (shareholders) quarterly dividends in appreciation for the money that they have given.

It is the Ford Motor Company's Upper Management Team that sets prices, decides hiring practices, and plant locations, and what vehicles will be built and supplied to dealers each year.

WHAT IF, our Federal Government decided it was going to stop being a Capitalist form of government but adopt a Socialist form of government and in so doing declared that the Ford Motor Company belonged to the government and to the people of the United States.

It would now be the government's job (on behalf of all the American People) to decided on prices, hiring practices, plant locations, and how many vehicles will be built and supplied to dealers each year.

Consequently, the government could decide that unemployment was too high and that FORD should double its workforce but not double its production.  The government could decide that it was only going to make ONE MODEL of Ford instead of the variety it now produces.  And, that the price of each vehicle was going to double as well in order to collect more money to pay for MEDICARE FOR ALL..

DO YOU THINK THE QUALITY OF FORD WOULD INCREASE OR DECREASE?

Now, suppose OUR government decided it should own Buick; Cadillac; Chevrolet; GMC; Chrysler; Dodge; Jeep; Ram; Lincoln; and Tesla.  Once ownership was transferred, our government decided to follow the same process it used at FORD...

DO YOU THINK THIS WOULD GROW OUR ECONOMY?

Now, let's look at OUR GOVERNMENT owning other companies like:

Walmart

Microsoft

Apple

ALL Media Outlets

McDonald's and ALL other Fast Foods

ALL Banks and Financial Institutions

ALL Resorts, Hotels, and Motels

ALL Airline Companies

ALL Restaurants

ALL Amusement Parks

ALL FOOD Companies

ALL Grocery Stores

ALL Gasoline stations

ALL Professional Sports Teams

ALL Private Colleges and Universities

ALL Cable Companies

ALL Hollywood Studios

ALL Gambling Casinos except those owned by Native Americans

HOW WOULD LIFE IN AMERICA CHANGE?
