Running Amuck/Amuk is exactly what I see happening in America for the following reasons:
FIRST -- House Democrats have been operating in a frenzy ever since Donald Trump became President in the hopes of removing him from office. After trying all their tricks over the last 3 years and failed, they have decided to go after the Attorney General and the Secretary of State. When AG Barr was recently questioned by the a House Committee, I was amazed at how RUDE all the Democrats acted towards AG Barr which was unnecessary in order to make the points they were making. It is a shame that they will never experience their own treatment and as a Christian, I have always treated others as I would have wanted them to treat me. If you are not a Christian then that statement doesn't mean shit to you.
SECOND -- is the COVID-19 Pandemic and while it really is THE CHINA VIRUS, it is painfully clear to me that Americans are simply IGNORING the advice of doctors from the CDC. It is true that their advice has changed over the months as they learn more and more about the virus, but NO ONE (or very few) is following their guidelines... and, then to turn around and blame President Trump for what individuals are not doing is POLITICAL and STUPID and even worse than normal because of 2020 being an election year.
THIRD -- is the fact that Congressional Democrats are saying, despite the daily clips of violence by the media, that all the protests in a variety of cities all over the country are NON VIOLENT... and if they are violent, it is because the POLICE or FEDERAL AGENTS have caused that to happen. The Democrats DO NOT CARE that Federal Property is being DESTROYED and as elected officials they should do whatever is necessary to protect Federal Property. But, that no longer bothers or concerns them because President Trump is the one who is responsible for all this because of his actions or lack of actions. That seems to be, at least to me, to be a violation of their office.
FOURTH -- is the DEFUND THE POLICE movement because of a couple of isolated instances where black people have been killed at the hands of white police. Those white cops should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, but restriction the police's ability to respond quickly by removing funds from it will achieve the following:
1. It will hurt minority communities in which most crime is committed
2. It will not stop/reduce racism in America
3. It will hinder recruitment of future police personnel
4. It will cause crime to increase
FIFTH -- is the Black Lives Matter movement and what the movement hopes to achieve because the BLM movement while it incorporates a perfect message will unfortunately not stop RACISM in America. Racism and Inequality is so embedded in the heart and soul of America that any laws passed by CONGRESS will simply hide racism in the workplace and not stop it once the workday is over. American Blacks only represent 13% of the overall population in America and because of that low percentage cannot influence the MAJORITY as much as they would like... therefore, Congress will pass laws and the workplace will appear to be different... but, nothing in the heart and soul of America will change.
SIXTH -- is the notion that all statues of America's past should be removed from public land and government owned property because those statues remind black people of slavery, but how many black people are actually influenced by these statues? It is really hard to answer that because these statues were never an obvious problem until it was brought to our attention by the BLM movement. Taking down statues will not eliminate the past nor will it change the past. If blacks have a problem with these Statues then they should also have a problem with the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights under which their Freedoms of Speech have been granted.
THE REST OF THE WORLD SEES...
A Divided America
A Deterioration of America's Greatness
A Potential Civil War Brewing
An America That Can No Longer Lead
An America That Is A Contradiction
An America That Is Racist
An America That Does Not Respect The Rule Of Law
