Influences on The Matrix

Neuromancer is a 1984 science fiction novel by American-Canadian writer William Gibson. It is one of the best-known works in the cyberpunk genre and the first novel to win the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award, and the Hugo Award.  It was Gibson's debut novel and the beginning of the Sprawl trilogy. Set in the future, the novel follows Henry Case, a washed-up computer hacker who is hired for one last job, which brings him up against a powerful artificial intelligence.

Those of you who haven't read "Neuromancer," are almost certainly familiar with something the book inspired. For example: The novel heavily influenced the Wachowski siblings' smash-hit 1999 movie "The Matrix," right down to the film's title. ... "

Inspired by Ghost in the Shell. Directors Lana and Lilly Wachowski are not shy about admitting the heavy influence the Mamoru Oshii anime, Ghost in the Shell, had on The Matrix. The two went straight to producer Joel Silver and explained the concept and to their surprise, Silver was totally down with it.

STILL...  we cannot rule out that we live in some kind of "Matrix" world or existence, especially since we were given birth without our permission, and when we die no one really knows where the hell we go...  although some believe we go to heaven...  but, heaven is not even a part of earth and is somewhere off in outer space...  even Jesus is quoted as having said, "My kingdom is not of this world."  So, we assume his kingdom is of another world...  perhaps a another dimension...  perhaps another "Matrix existence."

Our universe is still expanding into something or other and our best scientists cannot us with ABSOLUTE TRUTH as to how it came into existence.  The end of our universe could well be our universe's beginning and that is closer to The Matrix than we've ever been before...  and, no one can dispute that...  in fact, it is called SINGULARITY.

NONE OF REALLY KNOW WHAT IS TRUTH AND WHAT IS NOT...
