Laws of Management or Common Sense Methodologies

Iron Chef Bobby Flay
According to Bobby Flay who is an IRON CHEF of considerable reputation, spaghetti noodles should be thick not thin because the sauce sticks to them better...  who knew...  unless you were told by a Master Chef or read it in a cookbook but it is simply one fact on which Chefs base their reputations.

A corporation's reputation is based on similar facts as well like:
  1. focusing on the notorious "bottom line" or profits shall we say
  2. maximizing shareholder wealth and value is another
  3. along with finding ways to eliminate the competition
  4. developing new products and markets allows for growth
  5. and keeping expenses low ties it all together
  6. as is hiring the right people for the right job
Can we say that these are the SIX LAWS OF MANAGEMENT or just COMMON SENSE METHODOLOGIES for managing a business enterprise?

Either direction will suffice I suppose but none of these will ever be found in Bobby Flay's Cookbook and there is a reason for the distinction and that is that business operate on a budget and sometimes the most expensive ingredient is not the best to use as it jeopardizes the investments and does not improve the quality of the product as it does in fact improve the taste of the food.

Also, another difference between a corporation and a chef is that the people hired for a corporation are only that number of employees that are absolutely needed and not the number of employees that the company would like to have.  IN SHORT, a corporation is NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT...  it is in the business of MAKING A PROFIT.

Most AMERICANS especially each younger generation believes and perceives that corporations are like their parents who are there specifically to give them whatever they need...   and while that is a beautiful way of living life, it has little to do with BUSINESS PROFITS.
