Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

You are probably focusing on the storm that is hanging over the head of this resort community when what you should be looking at is the BEACH...  While it may not be as wide as the beaches in Florida, like Daytona, it it nonetheless perfectly sloped for both high and low tide with respect to the vacation swimmer...

At low tide, one can walk 300-500 feet out into the ocean and only have the water come up to just below your waist for a person of 6 feet...  and, at high tide and most of the time, the waves are rolling and gentle and have a perfect slope 80% of the time for body surfing if anyone still actually surfs without a board.

Myrtle Beach is actually in the center of a beach that stretches for 60 miles starting from the North Carolina border down to Winyah Bay near Georgetown...  so, this beach is more than just Myrtle Beach...
