From 1947 until 1962 -- I was oblivious to everything because I was so called innocent child and just cared about what was right in front of me or what I thought I needed.
From 1962 until 1966 -- I was intentionally oblivious to everything unless it was something about which I was interested like chasing women, going to parties, drinking alcohol, and pretending to be an Arab for American Tourists.
From 1966 until 1974 -- I was focused on myself and was not really intentional about anything other than what I needed to do or wanted to do at some particular point-in-time or was told to do because I was of a lesser rank.
From 1974 until 2015 -- I was totally focused on my career and while politics was talked about, it never really had any bearings on my job, my responsibilities, how I lived my life, or any of the changes through which I might have been going.
From 1947 until 2015 when I retired, I had lived 67/68 years and had never been influenced by politics, by the US Congress, by the US Presidential Administration or by any State, County, or Local government and did not really care if those politicians were Democrat or Republican, Socialists, or Communist and for some reason I KNEW that I was not living in a DICTATORSHIP... and if I were, I doubt if I would have given a shit about that either.
Not only did I NOT CARE about politics, but I did not care about:
- Education
- Racism
- Equality or Inequality
- LGBTQ and whatever
- Abortion
- Gun Control
- Illegal Drug Consumption
- Urban Crime
- Police Brutality
- Professional Athletics
- Football Head Injuries
- African American Cultural Centers
- College Students Memorizing and Forgetting
- STEM Education
- Growing Threat of China
- Nuclear Proliferation
- Terrorism -- cutting off heads
- Crooked Politicians
- has education improved
- has racism improved
- has illegal drugs decreased
- has crime decreased
- has the wealthy gotten wealthier
- has prices decreased
- has employment increased
- has taxes gone down
- has America become more UNITED
