Possible COVID Vaccine by November 2020

(CNN)  --  States across the United States should be prepared to distribute a coronavirus vaccine by November 1 "just in case" one is ready, the US Surgeon General said.
"We've always said that we are hopeful for a vaccine by the end of this year or beginning of next year," Dr. Jerome Adams said in an ABC News interview Friday. "That said, it's not just about having a vaccine that is safe and effective -- it's about being ready to distribute it."
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has asked public health officials in the states to prepare to distribute a coronavirus vaccine by late October or early November. As of Saturday, more than 6.2 million coronavirus cases have been reported in the US since the pandemic began and 188,252 people have died, according to a tally of cases by Johns Hopkins University.  TO READ ENTIRE ARTICLE, CLICK HERE...

DEMOCRATS NEW HAT - FITS ALL HEAD SIZES

Kamala Harris a COVID-19
vaccine before election:
'I would not trust Donald Trump'
Medical professionals worry about the politics behind the vaccine,
but Fauci says he’s not concerned

Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, said she would not trust President Trump’s word on the effectiveness of a coronavirus vaccine, in an interview expected to air Sunday.

Harris voiced concerns that medical professionals would not be the ones to validate a vaccine, if it was pushed out prior to the Nov. 3 election.

“[T]hey’ll be muzzled, they’ll be suppressed, they will be sidelined, because he’s looking at an election coming up in less than 60 days, and he’s grasping for whatever he can get to pretend that he’s been a leader on this issue when he’s not,” Harris said during the CNN interview.
“I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he's talking about,” she added.      TO READ ENTIRE ARTICLE, CLICK HERE...

Can You Believe This?

Seven Different Christian Denominations of Faith

Compare Major Beliefs of 7 Christian Denominationsby Mary Fairchild
March 9, 2020

Compare major beliefs of seven different Christian denominations: Anglican / Episcopal, Assembly of God, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Roman Catholic. Find out where these faith groups intersect and where they diverge or decide which denomination lines up most closely with your own beliefs.  To read entire article, click here...

Ms Fairchild explores the following religious concepts:
  1. Basis for doctrine
  2. Creeds and Confessions
  3. Inerrancy and Inspiration of Scripture
  4. The Trinity
  5. Nature of Christ
  6. Resurrection of Christ
  7. Salvation
  8. Original Sin
  9. Atonement
  10. Nature of Mary
  11. Angels
  12. Satan and Demons
  13. Free Will versus Predestination
  14. Eternal Security
  15. Faith versus Works
I find it hard to believe as well as comprehend how SEVEN CHRISTIAN DENOMINATIONS could differ so WIDELY on their CHRISTIAN BELIEFS...  and, how do we really know which one to BELIEVE and how do we know which one is CORRECT?

New Leader of Democratic Party

The Threat of China to America

Chinese President Xi Jinping

WORLD POLITICS

China is the ‘most serious threat’ to the United States, says former security advisor to Obama

Key Points:
  • “I’m not sure that we really understand the degree to which China is strategically intent on replacing the United States as the most dominant culture in the world,” said James Jones, a former U.S. national security advisor.
  • Beijing has been “very clear” about its goals and the U.S. needs to take them “very seriously,” he said.
  • He also said the U.S. “can win” the technology competition with China.  To read entire article, click here...

Despite the fact that Democrats are saying that AG Bill Barr is the President's Puppet, he has mentioned several times that CHINA is the greatest threat to American Democracy and the American Economy in the near future.

The FBI and the National Security Agency have both stated something similar, We need to be clear-eyed about the scope of the Chinese government’s ambition. China—the Chinese Communist Party—believes it is in a generational fight to surpass our country in economic and technological leadership.

That is sobering enough. But it’s waging this fight not through legitimate innovation, not through fair and lawful competition, and not by giving their citizens the freedom of thought and speech and creativity that we treasure here in the United States. Instead, China is engaged in a whole-of-state effort to become the world’s only superpower by any means necessary.

Ethnic Breakdown in USA

Hispanic and Latino (of any race): 15.3%

Non-Hispanic white: 63.4%

Black or African American: 13.4%  Source:  US Census

Henry Louis Gate Jr. researched our family heritage and on our father's side of the family, he noted during his presentation to us that we were "as white as white could be" having a paper trail back to Charlemagne.

If I am as white as white can be then why am I being referred to as a Non-Hispanic white?

I don't really resent what is happening in America, I just find it distasteful and it makes me angry and I am sure that I am not alone in this feeling.  And, the more I am classified and put into a category that I should not be in, the anger increases.

I am white.
I am NOT A NON HISPANIC WHITE
I am NOT A NON BLACK OR AFRICAN AMERICAN WHITE
I am white.

I will not protest in the streets because you call me a non Hispanic white nor will I riot or loot your businesses and shops.  I will not want to tear down your statues or change the names of your social clubs.  I will not plead to Congress to change the laws or force others to accept me as I am...

I will just suffer quietly and resent the hell out of how you have labeled me...

WHY SWEDEN: Koran Burning?

Protesters against the burning of a Koran by far-right supporters in Sweden have clashed with police during several hours of rioting.

Cars were set on fire and shop fronts were damaged in the clashes in the southern city of Malmö which have now been brought under control.

There were several arrests.

Last Friday, police barred far-right Danish politician Rasmus Paludan from attending the Koran-burning rally.  His supporters went ahead regardless.  Swedish police turned Mr Paludan back at the border, saying there was a two-year entry ban for him.

The head of the Danish far-right Stram Kurs (Hard Line) party was given a month in jail for a string of offences including racism in Denmark early this year.

He was convicted of posting anti-Islam videos on his party's social media channels.

THE KORAN is the Islamic sacred book, believed to be the word of God as dictated to Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel and written down in Arabic. The Koran consists of 114 units of varying lengths, known as suras ; the first sura is said as part of the ritual prayer. These touch upon all aspects of human existence, including matters of doctrine, social organization, and legislation.

Berlin, Germany - Corona Virus Protests

Demonstrators held flags from:  Germany, Russia, the Netherlands, the German Empire, and Bavaria
SATURDAY, AUGUST 29, 2020

Thousands of people have marched through the German capital Berlin in protest at coronavirus restrictions.

Police imposed mandatory mask-wearing and social distancing - and by midday ordered demonstrators to disperse for flouting the order.

The rally was mostly peaceful, but police later made "numerous arrests".

City authorities had tried to stop the march from going ahead, fearing safety measures would be ignored, but a court overturned the ban.

About 18,000 people took part in Saturday's march, police said.

Although Germany has so far not seen the wave of cases affecting some parts of Europe, its infection rate has been growing. New case numbers are reaching highs last seen in April.

Police issued their order to disperse after participants refused to keep a safe distance from each other, the authorities said.

"Unfortunately, we have no other option," Berlin police said on Twitter. "All the measures taken so far have not led to compliance with the conditions."

Protesters were closely packed in places, and sat together on the ground at one point.

Police said protesters dispersed largely peacefully although there were some pockets of unrest, with officers using pepper spray.

The demonstration was organised by the Stuttgart-based movement Querdenken 711 (or Lateral Thinking 711). The group has more than 16,000 followers on Facebook and communicates largely through encrypted messaging service Telegram.

It believes that coronavirus regulations infringe on basic rights and freedoms enshrined in Germany's constitution and wants them to be lifted.

East TN Humidity

As we approach the Labor Day Weekend and the unofficial official end of summer, humidity levels in East TN force many people inside as one can easily feel the moisture in the air without it raining and either you are in a pool of water or sitting in front of a fan, you are still miserable.  Labor Day Weekends are typically filled with family activities that revolve around cooking outside on a grill and I wonder if that past time will still be observed this year with our unfriendly Corona Virus Pandemic.

People who do not wear a face mask, do not wash their hands, and do not social distance do have that right and the rest of us should support their right to die.  However, most of these people will not die, they will simply pass the virus along to others who may not be that fortunate.

As far as our humidity is concerned here in East TN, it has been in the upper 80's with only slight evening rain while we sleep and in the afternoon of the second or third day like this, when I went to mow the lawn in the afternoon, the grass was still wet close to the ground because of the humidity.  While mowing my acre lot which is not that much land, I had to stop and clean the riding lawn mower out twice...  and no, I was not mowing it on a low setting...  and yes, I had the flap pulled up with a cord.

This morning, I decided to sit out on the porch for an hour or two and while the temperature is not that high, the air is still, full of moisture, and the longer I sit out here the harder it becomes for me to breathe believe it or not.  I have a little fan on the table beside my table and chair and when I turn it on, it mitigates the humidity and I am relative comfortable but now cooler than I was before since I am sitting out here in just my cotton boxers.

The sky is composed of about 4-5 different shades of gray from the light to the not so light but not threatening dark either...  at least not yet anyway as they are calling for thunder showers today.

Flying Car Reality

A Japanese flying car project is one step closer to taking off into the mainstream.

SkyDrive Inc. announced Friday that it carried out a successful test flight with one person aboard, releasing images of a contraption with propellers lifted several feet off the ground that hovered in a netted area for four minutes.

“We want to realize a society where flying cars are an accessible and convenient means of transportation in the skies and people are able to experience a safe, secure, and comfortable new way of life,” the company’s CEO, Tomohiro Fukuzawa, said in a statement.

“Of the world’s more than 100 flying car projects, only a handful have succeeded with a person on board,” he separately told The Associated Press. “I hope many people will want to ride it and feel safe.”

The machine so far can fly for just five to 10 minutes, but if that can become 30 minutes it will have more potential, including in the Chinese market, Fukuzawa said. The Japanese government is stressing the possibility of connecting remote areas and providing lifelines in disasters.

In the recent test, which was conducted Tuesday, a “pilot was at the controls but a computer-assisted control system helped ensure flight stability and safety while technical staff at the field monitored flight conditions and aircraft performance at all times as backup,” according to SkyDrive.
